When I started Pye Design in 2014, it was just me, a computer, and a love for making things.
Over the years, that little design business has taken me places I never could have imagined. I've had the opportunity to work with incredible businesses, nonprofits, tourism organizations, and community groups, creating everything from brand identities and websites to murals, signage, campaigns, and some wonderfully unconventional projects.
Along the way, I've learned that the best creative work rarely happens in isolation. This was especially clear during the pandemic. The best work happens through conversations, collaboration, unexpected ideas, and bringing together people who see things a little differently.
As my work has grown, so has my network of talented writers, photographers, developers, illustrators, marketers, and other creative professionals.
It started to feel like Pye Design had outgrown its name. Not because design was becoming any less important, but because what I was building had become something bigger.
Making Room for More
One of the most exciting parts of this new chapter is the launch of the House of Pye Creative Collective.
Rather than building a traditional agency with a fixed roster of employees, I'm creating a network of independent creative professionals who can collaborate on projects, share opportunities, and bring their unique talents to the table.
It's a model that celebrates independence while making space for connection.
For clients, it means access to a broader range of creative services without losing the personal relationships and hands-on approach they've come to expect.
For creatives, it's an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and be part of something without giving up the freedom of running their own businesses.
And for me, it's a chance to build something I've been thinking about for a long time: a creative community where everyone has something valuable to contribute.
Interested in joining the collective? Come introduce yourself.
What's Changing (and What's Not)
You'll notice a new name, a new visual identity, a new website, and some exciting additions to the services offered.
But if you've worked with me before, don't worry. I'm still here, doing the work I love, with the same commitment to creativity, quality, and relationships. I'll continue working directly with clients on branding, graphic design, illustration, campaigns, and creative projects of all shapes and sizes.
You'll also see more opportunities for collaboration, expanded services, and a growing collection of creative minds under the House of Pye roof.
And yes, I'll still be the person answering your emails.
Here's to What's Next
Rebranding your own business is a funny thing. As a designer, I spend so much time helping other people figure out who they are, what they stand for, and how to communicate it to the world.
Doing that work for myself has been equal parts exciting, challenging, and a little terrifying. Maybe heavier on the challenging side (excited to share more about that process). But it also feels right.
House of Pye is a reflection of where I've been, what I've learned, and where I hope to go next. Come on in. Make yourself at home.
